Bridges
Dental bridges replace a section of missing teeth with a natural looking appliance. Custom made dental bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of our teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between the upper and lower teeth. A dental bridge fills the space where a tooth or teeth have fallen out or have been removed. Without a dental bridge or implant bridge, continued tooth loss with occur over time. A dental bridge can help slow down this process. A dental implant bridge can stop the process.
Today there are implant bridges that are attached below the gum tissue or in the bone. This is the least compromising to surrounding teeth and the easiest to maintain, as a dental implant functions as a natural tooth. Although the cost of a dental bridge is initially less expensive than dental implant bridges, as time goes on and the dental bridge needs repair (due to bone loss), causing the dental bridge cost to continue to rise as time goes on.
