General Dentistry with a Holistic View

Miriam Levitan Dani, DDS has joined UAD and is also the director and principal of Kenilworth Dental Associates. Dr. Dani has an extensive background in holistic and surgical dental training, practice, and oral health management. Dr. Dani graduated from the University of Illinois (Champaign) with a BS degree in nutritional sciences and then carried this emphasis of healthcare to the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry. While at dental school, Miriam conducted research in the efficacy of different dental binding materials, went on volunteer oral surgery missions in Jamaica, and acted as president of her graduating class.

Dr. Dani was accepted into Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center’s hospital dental residency program for a six-month rotation in anesthesiology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and otolaryngology working along side the medical and dental specialties of oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, and pediatrics. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Dani was offered a position at one of the few Holistic Dental Practices in Illinois, where she practiced for six years.

After opening her own practice on the North Shore in Kenilworth and associating with UAD, Dr. Dani continues her post-graduate training. Yearly training with dental experts on the cutting edge of newer, more durable and, most importantly, healthier materials from the Seattle Study Club and a graduate of the part time 5 year program at the Peter Dawson Institute for Advanced Dental Studies are only a couple of her continuing educational passions.

Dr. Dani has been on dental missions to Tanzania (climbed Mount Kilimanjaro) and most recently to Callao/Pachacutec Peru (Inca Trail).
