Dr. Lauren Zalay is a born and raised Chicagoan. Since the early age of three, she knew she wanted to be a dentist. Her road to becoming a dentist began at the Latin School of Chicago. She then obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her DDS from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Dr. Zalay’s specialties include root canals, crowns, veneers, fillings, Invisalign, dentures, implant restoration, digital dentistry and Botox procedures. Her most important specialty, however, is her incredible ability to put patients at ease and allow them to enjoy their trip to the dentist. Dr. Zalay truly feels if someone loves their teeth, then they will smile brighter and live better.
During dental school, Dr. Zalay earned the honorary Linda B.K. Tharp Award for Compassion in Providing Health Care to Patients. Dr. Zalay’s published works can be found in Doctor of Dentistry magazine. She continues her education through multiple dental study groups, including the Seattle Study Club and enjoys discovering the latest procedures, trends and research in her field. Additionally, Dr. Zalay is an active member of Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. In 2019, she received the “Top Doctor” award, recognizing her achievements in dentistry.
Lauren is living out her dental dreams each day with UAD patients, and resides in the City with her husband and two daughters.
